Privacy Statement

Let's keep this simple: I'm not collecting any identifying data.

This website is hosted on Vercel, and I am monitoring traffic with Vercel analytics and speed insights. Their platform doesn't use tracking cookies, and doesn't know anything about you or any previous visit you've made to my site. It just tells me which pages you checked out, what country you're in, and what browser and operating system you're using. Everything Vercel records is totally anonymous; if you visit again later, I won't know you've visited before.

The website does use functional cookies and browser storage for two purposes: saving your language and theme preference. If you're reading this in French and using dark mode, that's my cookie in action.

That's it, that's all. No tracking, no third-party advertisers listening, just a little note that somebody from your country stopped by.

I don't want any more of your data than the contact info you might provide if you use my contact forms, which send a message directly to my Gmail account from itself, via SMTP. In the interest of full disclosure, here's Gmail's privacy policy.

If you sign up for my newsletter, your email will be saved in an encrypted database on a private server in Canada that I maintain, for as long as you remain subscribed. Unsubscribe links are provided in any emails I send, which will completely remove your email from that database. If you wish for your email to be removed from the database before you receive an email from me, let me know using any contact form on this website.

If you choose to make a donation to the Carleton Provincial Liberal Association, you are sharing your data with the Ontario Liberal Party and are bound by their Privacy Policy.
