In the 2025 provincial election, I ran as the Ontario Liberal Party candidate in Carleton.
An enormous riding, Carleton includes Stittsville, Riverside South, Findlay Creek, Manotick, Richmond, and the former townships of Goulbourn, Marlborough, North Gower, and Osgoode. By area, it covers nearly half (43%) of the City of Ottawa.
The campaign built on years of housing advocacy, community leadership, and grassroots engagement. The Carleton Provincial Liberal Association members and I shared a conviction that evidence-based policy, respectful engagement, and positive politics can reach a riding that had previously seemed out of reach.
We earned 20,335 votes and finished a strong second, the best Ontario Liberal result in Carleton since 1987. We significantly closed the gap with the Progressive Conservatives, won a dozen polls across diverse neighbourhoods, and strongly out-performed the party's province-wide result.

Twelve polls won
The campaign won 12 individual polling divisions across Carleton:
- ✓Both polls in Findlay Creek
- ✓Two polls each in Stittsville and Riverside South, including both polls of new housing developments
- ✓Four senior living communities across Stittsville, Manotick, and Marionville
- ✓The advance voting days in Riverside South
- ✓Mailed-in ballots
Another 5 polls in Riverside South and Stittsville were lost by just 43 votes or less, and we improved our share of the vote in every polling station. It's proof that there is appetite for change across suburban Ottawa, new-build communities, and rural villages alike.
